Established in 1948, membership of the Club is open to all women associated with the University including staff, alumni and those with an interest in the University. We meet regularly through a programme of events and activities.
The aim of the Club is to provide opportunities for social interaction, and we have members linked with different Schools, so you can meet and make friends across the University.
We hold social events, arrange interesting talks by guest speakers, including Reading University academics past and present, as well as visits around the University and locally, so you can keep up to date with the latest ideas and research.
The University of Reading Women’s Club has several interest groups and runs the Newcomers’ Group.
Each year members choose a local charity to support.
There is an annual £10 subscription fee (members are very welcome to bring guests for a small payment).
