The University of Reading Women’s Club is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
The only data we hold about you is:
Name and contact details i.e. postal address, email address and telephone number(s).
An emergency contact number.
Your membership’s subscription status.
Members and guests are asked to sign-in at events or send apologies, so that attendance levels can be monitored and to maintain our accounts.
We use your contact data to:
Send you details of the annual programme of events and associated details.
Send you information about the Annual General Meeting.
You may be contacted to seek information on specific issues e.g. surveys asking for your views on Club activities.
Occasionally we may send you relevant information from or about the University.
What happens to the information we hold about you:
Contact details may be shared with members of the committee to help them undertake Club business.
Emails sent to wclub@reading.ac.uk may be forwarded to the appropriate club member, who will respond to you via their own individual email address.
If a member leaves, current information held by the Club is deleted.
However, some data may remain in historical records (e.g. Committee Minutes) which the Club holds and which, from time to time, it passes for long-term keeping to the University Museums & Special Collections Services’ archives.
The information we hold about you will not be shared with any other third parties.
